HARBORED WITHIN; AN ANCIENT DJINN; HIS BIDDING DONE BY MOONLIGHT

The thing that is immediately impressive about the book called the Codex Gigas is the fact that it is so huge.  Weighing in at 165 pounds, the book is three feet tall, a little over a foot and a half wide, and just about two feet thick.  It is the largest known Medieval manuscript.  The hold thing is bound by wood that has been wrapped in leather.  It's pages?  There are 310 of them and they are fashioned from some sort of animal skin, whether donkey or calf.  It took the skins of 160 animals to writes this book-- and that's just the pages.
Throughout the pages are scrawled both of the Vulgate Bible's Testaments, medical texts, a calendar, texts on exorcism, a sort of encyclopedia and, of course, lots and lots of spells.  They are written in many formats and they are recorded in languages that included Latin, Hebrew, Greek, and Slavic.  The texts are illuminated and include very ornate illustrations that are clad in colorful highlights of red, blue, green, yellow, and gold.  The most famous of these ancient illustrations is one of the Devil, from which the book gets its name.  I obviously can't show a picture in the texts of my writing, but the picture is seriously unsettling.  It lends all of what we would envisions in modern day illustrations of the devil, but is twisted in a way that only the people that wrote this book would understand.  Given the extensive texts dealing with exorcism rites, I gather that whomever wrote the book knew the true nature of the beast.  The illustrations are a representation of this knowledge.
Despite the fact that it would have taken one person a mysteriously long and grueling process to write the book, this is not the biggest mystery surrounding the contents of the Devil's Bible.  I mean, for the most part the words of the text have been deciphered.  There might be uncertainty about what they mean, but they have been translated.  Rather the biggest mystery surrounding the ancient book are the missing pages.  There are approximately ten pages of the Devil's Bible that have gone missing, have never been recovered, and are so far unaccounted for.  These ten pages are believed to have been taken out on purpose, but nobody really knows why.  I guess they'd have a better idea if they could recover the pages and examine the content thereof; however there hasn't been as much as a single lead as to where the missing pages may be hidden.
Now, you know that we have connections in certain places, among certain circles of people.  If it weren't for these connections, there are a lot of items that we offer that we would not be able to offer.  They are people that we meet from all kinds of interactions-- investigations, trips, auctions, etc.  However, in this case, the person reached out to us.  We received an anonymous phone call, giving us a tip that we would soon be receiving a package.  In the package, claimed the informant, was the answer to anything and everything we ever wanted.
A few days later, we received the package.  There was no return address on box and the address was written in a type of script that we had never received before.  It was quite strange.  Inside of the package the item, carefully wrapped in burlap and a single slip of paper.  The paper read, "Harbored within; an ancient djinn; His bidding done by moonlight."  This is the only advice that was given to us and was the only thing we had to go by.  Needless to say, we were outside that night, in the moonlight, with the piece.  We tried everything that we could imagine. The first night, we lit a candle.  Nothing.  The second night we tried a fruit offering.  Still nothing.  The third night, we tried a blood offering.  Still nothing.  The fourth night, we were trying to brainstorm ways in which we could possible awaken whatever was inside of the piece.  Deedee went to hand me the piece, but I accidentally dropped it.  As it fell, the piece made a rattling sound.  A mist began to form in the air.  I looked at Deedee, she looked at me, and we couldn't believe that we had missed the obvious.
I shook the rattle more vigorously than before and the mist soon turned into a dense fog.  From the fog stepped forth a creature.  He was about six feet tall, with a very crooked nose and little beady eyes.  His fingers grew into claws and as he walked his toenails clicked on the ground as he walked forward.  He was rather large in size.  Honestly, he was kind of ghastly looking, but we weren't afraid of him.  He was made to serve us, not the other way around.  I call it a he only for contextual purposes.  I think it's more of an it.  After several experiences with the djinn, to which he appeared to us in full form.  He explained that he was summoned from one of the missing pages of the Devils' Bible, with a spell that was used by the ancient to summon djinn.  This particular djinn was summoned and then cast and bound into the book as it's protector.  He gained all of the knowledge of all of the spells and powers that have been associated with the book.  Given that the book pretty much contains a record of all magic that has ever been known to man, this djinn also contains all the magic that has ever been known to man.  He was given free authority to use it as he pleases also.  He does use this magic for himself, but to those who are lucky enough to be able to learn how to summon him, he is completely subservient.  This means, he will grant you anything that you want.  All you have to do is ask for it.
With this moon rattle, you become the "lucky one".  You get this djinn in his full form, the same way we did when we encountered him.  You will have to take the rattle outside rattle it around.  It might take you a few tries before the power and presence comes to you full force, but that's fine, it took us a few nights also.  Once he does come to you, though, you will be glad you stuck it out.  Like we've determined, you want to make sure you are doing this by moonlight.  It can't be during the day or in your house.  It has to be a night where there is plenty of moonlight.  You will then shake the rattle like we did, until your djinn appears to you from behind a fog.  Don't be alarmed at his appearance.  He is here to help, not to hurt.  He is, after all, a protector and granter of magic.  When the djinn shows himself you, you can ask him for anything that want and it will be granted to you.  Wealth, love, healing, spiritual awakening, psychic awakening, time control, invisibility, mind control, astral travel, shape-shifting, whatever.  This Moon Djinn, as we call it, can give it to you and will give it to you.  Do not be afraid to ask for anything, because he literally has knowledge of all types of magic and the more creative you get in asking for your powers, the stronger they will come to you.  Don't miss out on this piece, it is a definitely must have!
ON A SIDE NOTE, THIS PIECE IS AN ANTIQUE.  IT IS OLD AND IS MADE ENTIRELY OUT OF STERLING SILVER!!  IT IS AN ANTIQUE BABY RATTLE THAT HAS BEEN MADE USING THE SPELLS FROM THE DEVIL'S BIBLE.  IT SUMMONS A MOON DJINN TO GRANT EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER WANTED.
